Yakuza 0 and Kiwami are coming to PC, so you can finally see what all the fuss is about

Yakuza 0 and Kiwami - the first two games in the series chronologically, although both fairly recent releases - are coming to PC this year.

Ports of both games were announced today as part of the E3 PC Gaming Show. Sega has done a fine job porting their games to PC so far, and these Yakuza games will feature some solid updates too, with 4k resolutions and uncapped framerates.

Yakuza 0, which charts the early careers of series mainstays Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, is releasing on PC on August 1. It's one of the best games in the series, and serves as a perfect introduction. It's also funny as hell and super charming.

Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the first Yakuza game, which introduces a bevvy of improvements and updates (especially in the west - the original PS2 release had a ghastly dub that Kiwami thankfully drops). It's not quite as wonderful as 0, but it tells a great story.

We know that Yakuza 3-5 are eventually coming to PS4, starting with Yakuza 3 in August, and that Kiwami 2 is coming around the same time, so we wouldn't be surprised if the full numbered series eventually makes its way to PC as well. So far only these first two have been announced, though.
