Elder Scrolls Blades brings Bethesda's beloved RPG series to mobile - and eventually, everywhere else

Elder Scrolls Blades aims to be the most accessible Elder Scrolls title imaginable - one available on every system that can handle it.

This was officially announced as part of Bethesda's E3 presentation today. While the announcement was somewhat overshadowed by Fallout 76 and the announcement of Elder Scrolls 6, it's a nice little bonus.

Although officially announced as a mobile game for iOS and Android, Elder Scrolls Blades will come to every system Bethesda can get it onto, and they'll all be capable of playing with each other. By the sound of things it will have a multiplayer component, and someone plugging away at it on their phone will be able to play with a friend who is playing it on their Oculus Rift, or by any other combination (it'll be interesting to see if all the consoles play ball).

By the look of things, though, it's going to start its life on mobile.

You can play Elder Scrolls Blades in vertical or horizontal mode, so if you don't like having to flip your phone over you won't need to. That's a nice touch.

You can sign up for early access to the game now, if you want to experience Blades on mobile before anyone else.
