Doom Eternal will drag us back to Hell
Doom is getting a sequel, and wow are we ever excited.
Doom's sequel won't be called Doom 2 - having two games called Doom 2 would be a bit much, we suppose - and will follow on from where the excellent 2016 game left off.
The very first trailer for Doom Eternal dropped during Bethesda's E3 showcase.
We don't know much, because the trailer doesn't show a lot, but it sure looks and sounds like more Doom, which is a very good thing. The Doom Slayer will feel even more powerful. There will be twice as many demons as in the last game, and Hell will come to Earth. It sounds good, and the recent Doom has built up such a following that it makes sense to see id Software returning to this world.
Doom Eternal Release Date:
The game will debut at QuakeCon in August. We're not sure which systems it will launch on, but fingers crossed that the Switch won't miss out. There's also a Doom movie in the works, if you can't get enough Doom.
