Zombies mode confirmed for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, more details at E3

Though we're still a few days away from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal event, E3 Coliseum has seemingly confirmed the return of Zombies mode.

Call of Duty fans will know that there was practically zero chance Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 wasn't going to have a Zombies mode, but with all rumours about the game so far, nothing was off the table.

The official Twitter for E3 tweeted out a tease for an E3 Coliseum panel with developer Treyarch taking place at the show. The panel will be livestreamed on Facebook, and open to the public who attend E3.

"What’s lurking around the corner of Treyarch’s next Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies experience? Come hear the history of Call of Duty Zombies from the creators themselves," the announcement reads.

Seems the organisers jumped the gun a bit, though it is hardly unforgivable. So far, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been rumoured to have no campaign and a battle royale mode. The game is also reportedly launching on Blizzard's Battle.net.

To make up for the lack of a campaign, reports suggested Treyarch has another co-op activity planned for Black Ops 4, on top of Zombies, that some assumed would use assets from the cancelled campaign maps.

Considering this year's early launch for Black Ops 4, it would make sense for Treyarch to tease Zombies at this month's reveal event and reveal more details at E3 next month.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal takes place Thursday, May 17. The game is out October 12 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
