Modder brings island from Lost into Far Cry 5

Lost doesn't look too bad as an open-world video game.

The Far Cry series and JJ Abrams' Lost actually have quite a bit in common. Both take place in remote areas far from civilization, and feature plot developments that can only be explained with hallucinogenic drugs. So perhaps it's not surprising that one fan has attempted the impressive feat of recreating the entire island within Far Cry 5's map editor.

While the map isn't exactly to scale, YouTuber Un-Break-Able managed to pack some impressive details into this creation. The map includes everything from Sun's garden to the nine Dharma Initiative Stations. You can even climb the Lighthouse or make your way into the Heart of the Island if you want, thankfully without being chased by a Smoke Monster. (Thanks for the info, Kotaku.)

Far Cry 5 Arcade's map limits mean Lost's island probably isn't as big as you remember, and you can only explore it for about 10 minutes. The good news is you can play it on PS4 by downloading the map "LOST TV Series". Un-Break-Able currently plans to update the map once Far Cry 5's Vietnam DLC arrives, since the core game doesn't exactly have the jungle trees Lost calls for.
