Croteam has officially revealed Serious Sam 4 today, at the Reboot Develop conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The new title for the game is Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass, teased with a short video of Sam cruising through the countryside on a massive motorcycle.

After one headless enemy runs towards him, he rides over a hill to reveal he's riding to face hundreds of enemies. Watch the teaser below and try to hold on to your bowels.

"In the past seven years Croteam has released six new game projects. But we always get asked the same question - where is Serious Sam?" said Croteam's co-founder in the opening keynote of Reboot Develop.

"Well, I can reveal that this June, at the Devolver Digital conference at E3, they will ask that question no more."

The Steam page for Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass is live if you're so excited you want to click on something else, although it has scant details.

Serious Sam 4 was first revealed back in 2013, partially funded by the Humble Bundle proceeds.

Since then Croteam has dropped a few hints about the shooter, indicating that it's built on a revamped Serious Engine.

Reboot Develop kicked off today with a rousing orchestral rendition of the Star Wars score, as the great and the glorious of game development gathered to share work and gossip about upcoming consoles and technology, with not a tedious blockchain announcement in sight.
