Here's a look at Call of Duty: WW2's next DLC pack The War Machine
Here's a trailer for Call of Duty: WW2 DLC pack The War Machine, which also takes a quick look at the new War Mode mission, Operation Husky.
The new War Mode mission for Call of Duty: WW2 is based on the Allied invasion of Sicily, which went under the codename Operation Husky.
In July 1943, the Allies invaded Italy to drive the Axis powers from the country and to open up the Mediterranean sea lanes. The month long campaign was a success, and ended on August 17.
As an Allied participant in Operation Husky, players will be tasked with acquiring intelligence in Ragusa, Sicily. Players can also play as an Axis soldier, trying to stop the Allied advance.
Those playing as the Allies will need to complete three objectives: retrieve the intel, transmit the intel, and take to the skies and battle it out in planes.
As an Axis player, the objectives are: build walls to try and keep the Allies out; keep the walls and defenses up; get into dogfights with the Allies and stop them from winning.
If you head over the PlayStation Blog, it goes into more detail on the objectives for both sides.
Call of Duty: WW2’s second DLC pack will release on April 10 first for PlayStation 4, and it also features four new maps, along with the next chapter of Nazi Zombies called The Shadowed Throne.
Dunkirk, a secret German V-2 rocket facility, and Egypt are three of the new maps. Italy is the map included with War Mode, as noted above.
Call of Duty: WW2 – The War Machine will be available on PC and Xbox One when the PS4 30-day exclusivity period ends.
