Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered does not include multiplayer - report

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will not feature multiplayer, according to a report.

Reports of a remaster for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 started surfacing last week, and the latest states only the single-player campaign will be included.

This information comes from sources close to CharlieIntel, who provided the site with internal materials.

According to the documents, it appears the remaster is not being handled by Raven Software. The studio was responsible for  2017's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

The prevailing thought is Beenox, the team which assisted Raven on the Modern Warfare Remastered campaign, is handling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered.

Last week, Amazon Italy posted a listing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. It was pulled rather quickly, but not quick enough.

Along with a release date for April 30 on PS4 and Xbox One, a price point of €19.99 ($25) was listed. If the game really does lack multiplayer, the price makes sense. Modern Warfare Remastered cost $40, and it supported multiplayer mode.

Activision has neither confirmed nor denied Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered exists. Hopefully, official word will come down sooner rather than later.
