Shadow of the Colossus: how to find The Last Guardian Easter egg
There's a neat little Easter egg in Shadow of the Colossus that nods to The Last Guardian.
It's fairly easy to find once you know where to look, and finding The Last Guardian Easter egg in Shadow of the Colossus is not only cool, but it earns you a bronze Trophy: Boon of the Nomad.
You can go and find this at any point during your adventures, but if you want to be efficient with your time you can get it on the way to fight Colossus 6, The Temple Giant or Colossus 13, the Flying Sand Worm as it can be found in the woods you have to travel through.
Where to find The Last Guardian Easter egg
If you're travelling their directly from the shrine, head south west towards map location E5.
When you're inside the woods follow the path but take the right fork and it will bring you out at a cave in the ground. We recommend leaving Agro and walking as it's very easy to ride past the location.
Go inside and firstly step to the left and look around some stalactites. You'll hear a jingle through the controller speaker and it's here you can collect one of the many hidden gold coins.
Next, walk over to the far corner and you'll see a barrel surrounded by butterflies, just like one of the many you find in The Last Guardian. Walk near it and you'll earn the Trophy.
We have a page dedicated to finding the secrets and hidden modes in Shadow of the Colossus and if you really want to unlock new weapons and gear you're going to need to tackle Time Attack mode.
