Here's the first hour of Monster Hunter World on PS4 Pro
A little glimpse at how the hunt in the new world begins.
Monster Hunter World is finally about to be released, and as you might have been able to tell from the reviews round up and our official VG247 verdict, it's all turned out pretty well for Monster Hunter's return to consoles and living room screens.
One of the things we mention in our review is how the game has a bit more of a bombastic, action-packed opening than Monster Hunter fans might be used to - but that quickly gives way to more traditional monster hunts as the game sends you out tracking smaller beasts and then larger, more threatening creatures.
You can see some of that for yourself below - as here's the first hour (more or less, there's a few cuts) of the game running on a PS4 Pro.
You'll have to excuse us a little as this was quite literally our very first hour with the game - so there's a little control fiddling and a real sense of unfamiliarity with our choice from Monster Hunter World's 14 unique weapon types - but even with us fumbling around the game speaks for itself. It's a good'un.
Monster Hunter World is out tomorrow for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC release will follow later this year.
