Overwatch Blizzard World map is coming next week
Blizzard has confirmed the release date for Overwatch's next map: Blizzard World.
Blizzard World is the theme park-style map for Overwatch the developer announced all the way back at BlizzCon 2017 in November.
The map hit the Overwatch PTR shortly after, and it's been in testing ever since. At the time, the developer said the map would release early in 2018, and it seems the time has come.
Blizzard World is a hybrid Assault/Escort map with distinct locations taken from other Blizzard games such as Warcraft's Stormwind, the Nexus from Heroes of the Storm and so on.
Earlier today, Blizzard confirmed that Blizzard World will be available on January 23. Tuesday is a typical patch day for Overwatch, so it's very likely we'll also get other changes alongside the map.
Blizzard has been testing some big changes recently, too, such as a nerf to Mercy's ult and Junkrat's Concussion Mine, so those could also make it to live servers on the same day.
In the meantime, you can print out this lovely art as a ticket. Head over to Blizzard's press center for a higher-quality version.
