Uncharted: The Lost Legacy co-director joins Crystal Dynamics to work on The Avengers Project

Shaun Escayg‏, the Naughty Dog designer who served as the writer and co-director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, has left the studio.

Escayg‏ spent seven years at Naughty Dog, and has now taken up a new position at Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics, working on the upcoming Avengers Project.

The veteran developer joined Naughty Dog during the early days of The Last of Us. He's worked on that game's DLC, Left Behind, as well as Uncharted 4, and of course, The Lost Legacy.

"Seven years ago I joined the talented team at Naughty Dog on a project still in its infancy, The Last Of Us. Well, the rest is history. Left Behind, Uncharted 4 were fleeting and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy pushed my creative growth even further- I will miss all my dogs," he said in a tweet.

On his Instagram account, Shaun Escayg‏ The Avengers logo, pretty clearly indicating the project he's going to be working on.

The Avengers Project was announced almost a year ago. It's part of a multi-game deal with Marvel that reportedly also has Deux Ex developer Eidos Montreal working on a Guardians of the Galaxy game.

Details about The Avengers Project are slim to none, but it definitely seems like it's still pretty early. It's also not clear what role Escayg‏ will be serving at Crystal Dynamics, whether it be writing or a more managerial creative director role.
