The PlayStation Store is showing a March release date for God of War
We might have just gotten a release date for God of War.
Details on the new God of War's release have been fairly sparse, beyond the loose 'early 2018' frame that we've been throwing around. The game, which is inspired by Zelda, has been on our radar since E3 2016, but we've never known for sure when it would release.
But now, with that early 2018 time frame fast approaching, Sony might have quietly given us a date on the PlayStation Store. An update on the game's store page is now listing a date - March 22.
Although as of right now the page also says 'This full game is expected to be available in 391 days on 12/31/2018' (a clear placeholder date), the March 22 date is listed at the top as the 'released on' date.
This isn't, of course, the same as having the date absolutely confirmed and locked in, but it seems like a real possibility that this will be the date. The same date is displaying on the Chilean store page, and that would be a pretty weird coincidence, wouldn't it? Still, we won't have absolute certainty on this until Sony comes right out and says it, so we'll have to wait and see. It would fill a similar release schedule gap to the one Horizon: Zero Dawn filled earlier this year.
God of War is a PS4 exclusive. Hopefully we'll be able to lock this date down soon.
