Destiny 2: here's 10 minutes of footage from the upcoming Curse of Osiris DLC expansion
Destiny 2's first expansion is right around the corner, so here's some footage to get you prepared.
We've got ten minutes of footage from the very first mission of Curse of Osiris, which is going to shake things up a bit and raise the light level cap when it launches on December 5 (it's also going to change reset times, just so you know).
We got our first look at Curse of Osiris two weeks ago when the first trailer dropped, but now Arekkz has gone hands-on with the new campaign and come away with some footage and information about what to expect. This is ten minutes from the very first mission, with the cutscene at the start cut out so that it'll be fresh for us come December.
Arekkz says that there are "around seven missions, give or take", so don't expect a new campaign that matches the launch campaign in length.
Arekkz, who has played through basically everything (including two new strikes and some new crucible maps), says that the DLC's setting, Mercury, is "incredible", with some wonderful skyboxes. It looks like fun to explore, and apparently you'll find out a bit more about the Vex as you take them out (although the story focus is squarely on Osiris).
You'll also get to visit the Lighthouse, Destiny 2's new social space, on Mercury. We haven't seen the Lighthouse since the original game's Trials of Osiris (and in fact many of us never saw it), and according to Arekkz the space is a bit different now, not quite as big as it was in Destiny 1.
It all looks pretty fun. Curse of Osiris will hit all three platforms at the same time, so you've got until December 5 to get ready for it.
