There's currently a nasty bug in Call of Duty: WW2 that prevents you from taking Orders if you Prestige

A particularly annoying bug has been discovered in Call of Duty: WW2 that's preventing some players from being able to accept Orders when they Prestige.

The issue doesn't appear to be affecting everyone, but there have been multiple reports on the Call of Duty: WW2 subReddit about it that it's definitely not an isolated case.

The short version is that after your Prestige your character, the game seems to think you're a new player. The Welcome to Headquarters quest everyone got when they first launched the game is reset, meaning you'll have to take a tour of the place once again. This is annoying, but the real problem is that you won't be able to pick any Orders from Major Howard.

Orders are a big part of the progression system in Call of Duty: WW2. Equal to the original Destiny's Bounties, they're an essential way of levelling up fast, and a good source of Supply Drops as well.

For now, weapon Prestige and Division Prestige do not seem to be affected by the bug. This video from TheQishy shows it in action.

There's currently a big Reddit thread that's flooded with reports from players having the same problem. There appears to be more PC reports than consoles, but the issue is definitely not isolated to PC.

Activision recently published a list of known issues it's currently working on, but that list doesn't make mention of this particular problem. It's yet another issue in a serious of them for what seems to be an especially buggy Call of Duty.
