Watch new gameplay footage of God of War from Paris Games Week

Sony showed a small bit of footage from God of War during its Paris Games Week showcase earlier today.
The video, found below, is very short, showing a bit of action without too much of a buildup. It kind of seems like it was supposed to lead into a bigger demo, but alas ends abruptly.
Maybe it was just thrown in to remind us the game is due out in early 2018, not that we're complaining. As seen in earlier gameplay footage, Kratos and his son are wandering around in an exotic location before they're attacked.
Though we don't get to see any new abilities, the axe and shield combat continues to look solid. You can see it all for yourself below:
The God of War reboot is out in early 2018 on PS4.
