Guacamelee 2 announced for PS4
Guacamelee 2, the sequel to DrinkBox Studios' Metroidvania hit, was just announced during the PlayStation Paris Games Week pre-show.
We only got to see a short trailer, before a few snippets of gameplay were shown off. The game is in development for PS4, coming in 2018.
Curiously, no other platforms were mentioned, even through non-Sony channels. Guacamelee 2 takes place seven years after the original, where our hero Juan Aguacate must once again don the mask to save the world.
Though the trailer was short, we did see a couple of new mechanics. Namely, being able to turn into a chicken, and the ability to use grappling hooks. Take a look at the first trailer and screenshots below:
Guacamelee 2 is due for release in 2018, and will be enhanced for PS4 Pro.
