Dragon Ball FighterZ shows off Super Saiyan 2 Gohan and his fight against Cell in its latest trailer
One of the key moments of Dragon Ball Z gets remembered in this trailer for young Gohan.
Dragon Ball FighterZ, which has looked great for a while now, continues to impress.
This trailer shows Gohan in his Super Saiyan 2 form, which, in the anime, he achieves after Cell crushes Android 16 (who plays a surprisingly large role in this game). Gohan's hair turns much spikier, and his strength and speed increase in this form (in the anime, at least).
The new trailer shows Gohan fighting Cell in this form, reminding players that this is a game aimed squarely at fans of the series.
Fans of the original series will no doubt recognise Gohan's huge Kamehameha Wave as well, as the spirit of his father appears behind him much as it did when he defeated Cell. The camera pan out is a very nice touch.
Gohan joins the other characters announced and shown off so far, including (and I'm just going to use their English language names here for convenience) Goku, Vegeta, Cell, Freiza, Boo, Yamcha, Tien, Krillin, and numerous androids.
Dragon Ball FighterZ will release on PS4 and Xbox One at some point in 2018.
