Nintendo is bringing back the NES Classic Mini to Europe next summer, SNES Classic Mini to be sold through 2018

Nintendo of Europe has dropped two great announcements earlier today about the NES Classic Mini, and the SNES Classic Mini.

The company has announced that it'll continue shipping new units of the SNES Classic Mini, due for release later this month, all throughout this year and in 2018. The company did not specify an end date in 2018, but this is already a much better outcome than what fans anticipated for the mini-console's fate.

Considering how high demand has been for the unit, one would at least hope that regular shipments will satisfy the demand. If not this year or at launch, then maybe next year. If nothing else, it'll at least deter eBay scalpers from hoarding too many units, since they may not be able to sell them for higher markups for long.

Nintendo also announced that it's bringing back the NES Classic Mini, released last year, back into Europe next summer. No date was given for the sold-out console's return, but it's quite the unexpected announcement. Fans who missed out on the supply constrained console last year may yet have hope.

Nintendo of America has not made any similar announcements, so we'll have to assume this only applies to Europe for now.

The SNES Classic Mini is out September 29.
