Absolver is out today and you can have a look at the review scores right here
Devolver Digital has released Sloclap’s online, melee action game Absolver which means reviews for the fighting game have also landed.
Absolver features various unique fighting styles and abilities, but only three are available to the player at the start with others to be discovered during gameplay.
Each of the three initial combat styles come with special abilities and will improve special character attributes depending on player style.
There are character customization options, and armor pieces feature different bonuses and weight. Players will want to pay special attention to the latter as weight can affect movement and speed.
Absolver also allows players to build a team of warriors to fight alongside them in PvE or partake in PvP in dedicated combat arenas, competitive 1v1 PvP, with a plan to add 3v3 and a spectator mode post launch.
Ranked play, as well as new fighting moves and combat styles, are also planned post launch.
The Unreal Engine-developed title is out today for PC and PlayStation 4.
As usual, all scores below are based out of ten unless noted.
- Gaming Nexus - 9.5
- God is a Geek - 9
- Polygon - 8.5
- Gamespot - 8
- PCgamesN - 8
- IGN - 7.6
- MMORPG - 7
- PSU -5.5
- USgamer - review in progress
- Ars Technica - No Score system
While there are a few reviews out there, it's worth noting some outlets are holding off on issuing a score until more time can be spent on multiplayer.
Absolver is also in the works for Xbox One but a release window has yet to be announced.
