Shenmue 3 delayed to the second half of 2018
Shenmue fans will just have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on Shenmue 3.
Shenmue 3 developer Ys Net has posted a new update on the game's Kickstarter page to announce that the release target has been pushed to the second half of 2018.
In a message to backers, creative lead Yu Suzuki (archived above via Shenmue Dojo) said that more time is needed in order to realise the game's concept, and promised to share more about the revised development schedule later this month.
Development updates have kind of slowed down a bit since the big Kickstarter finish, it wasn't until very recently that the developer released one to confirm that it won't be attending E3 this year to focus on development.
Shenmue 3 never had a solid release date to begin with, and the delay news in itself is not very surprising and is even very common for crowdfunded games in general.
