PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds sales already past 3 million copies - report
The PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds train keeps on going, and over 3 million players are now on board.
Just over a month ago, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds developer Bluehole officially announced that the hit battle royale game had sold over 2 million copies.
It doesn't look like it's showing any signs of slowing down either, as it now sits comfortably above 3 million copies sold, according to Steam Spy. Bluehole has yet to make an official announcement, so expect one to drop soon, but the numbers are very no doubt impressive.
For reference, the game was only released at the end of March, and since then, it's been occupying Steam's top sellers list almost every week. It's also a game a lot of people actively play, landing it at Steam's third spot for daily active players very consistently. Last week, it reached over 200,000 concurrent players, which is much bigger than almost any other release in recent memory, except for No Man's Sky on launch day.
Perhaps it's time PlayerUnknown showed up on Sony or Microsoft's stage this E3 to announce the console version.
