Destiny 2 campaign is an "epic adventure," solo players can find team mates with new Guided Games feature
No friends? No problem. Here's how to make some in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2, don't worry too much. We're rounding up all of the news on the new sub-classes, the first mission, changes to PvP, and more.
The biggest difference for the sequel is that the Tower is no longer standing, after a Cabal invasion destroys everything.
"In the story of Destiny 2, the last safe city on Earth has fallen and lay in ruins, occupied by a powerful new enemy and his elite army, the Red Legion," read the summary from Activision.
Destiny 2’s beginning story mission is called Homecoming, and this is where your Guardian responds to the emergency occurring in the Last Safe City.
Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision, said, "Destiny 2 has a great story, an iconic new villain, awesome characters you want to go on an epic adventure with, and of course, tons of the amazing gameplay that Destiny is known for.
"We, along with our partners at Bungie, have listened carefully to our community, and have added thoughtful innovations that make the game, and all of its content, more accessible to more types of players than ever before."
Here's the story synopsis:
Humanity has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force, led by Lord Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee their home. Players will venture out into our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, they must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.

The solo players amongst you will be pleased to hear about the new Guided Games feature.
If you struggle to round up half a dozen people to go on a raid with, it sounds like a godsend.
"This new feature allows solo players to find and play with other players to enjoy Destiny 2 and earn new in-game rewards like weapons, and armor."
Solo players can use this feature to pick a clan they want to be paired with for a multiplayer session - whether that's a raid, a strike, or trials. It'll also help out groups who have players bail on them at the last minute.
They can play the Story Campaign – Narrative of Destiny 2’s cinematic story where players can also explore in Adventures, Patrols, Lost Sectors, Quests, and Public Events.
It's a welcome addition for players who have missed out on some of the content because they don't know enough people to round up to play the raids with.
