Payday 2 getting VR mode this year

You'll be able to play the entirety of Payday 2 in VR sometime this year.
During publisher Starbreeze's StarStream livestream last night, Overkill announced Payday VR, a virtual reality add-on for the main game, due for release later this year.
This mode will be added freely to all owners of Payday 2, but more importantly, it'll add VR support for the entire game, not just a walled-off section. We at least know it will support the HTC Vive, given the trailer, but details are scarce.
A beta is expected this year. You can see it for yourself in action in the trailer above.
