The number of Pokémon Go players still logging in every day has plummeted by over 80%
Pokémon Go daily users have dropped by 23 million.
It's been almost a year since Pokémon Go rolled out across the globe, and people could not get enough of it.
The app earned $35 million from its 30 million users by the end of its first month, and was back at the top of the App store last month after the Generation 2 update.
But daily user numbers have dropped significantly, from 28 million down to 5 million accoring to comScore’s latest mega data report, as reported by recode.
During the app's launch in July 2016, daily users peaked at 28.5 million, but the novelty factor soon wore off, and compounded by a lack of features, the number quickly dropped.
As of the end of last year, the number of daily users plateaued at around 5 million, which is a drop of over 80%.
I don't think anyone expected the app to blow up like it did, so while the drop is significant, 5 million daily users for a low point is not to be sniffed at.
