Get to know Mass Effect: Andromeda's Jaal, your Angaran squadmate
Jaal is an Angara, one of the new races in Mass Effect: Andromeda. He's also your teammate.
Many of the races we've known in the Mass Effect trilogy will return in Mass Effect: Andromeda, some have already been confirmed to play major roles like the Asari, Turian, and Krogan.
Andromeda will also introduce its share of new races, such as the Kett - the main villains in the story. There's also the Angara, one of whom will actually serve as a member of your squad in the game.
His name is Jaal, and in IGN's video above, we get to learn a bit of his background and how he ends up joining the team.
BioWare writer Cathleen Rootsaert is on hand to explain crucial details about Jaal, such as how he's a member of the Angaran resistance and a little bit about his personality.
Rootsaert also talks about the Angara species, and some of their defining characteristics.
Mass Effect: Andromeda releases March 21 in North America, and March 23 in Europe for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The EA and Origin Access early access trial kicks off on March 16.
