Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire was announced yesterday, and Obsidian Entertainment took to crowdfunding service Fig with a development goal set at $1.1 million with $2.25 million open for equity.

Within less than 24-hours, Pillars of Eternity 2 hit its funding goal, and as of press time, 9,871 backers have pledged $1,106,906 toward the project. And the figure keeps increasing. Who knows what the total will be when the funding campaign ends in 28 days. We imagine it will be huge.

Along with the thank you video above, the team has also released some new screens and concept art.

The first stretch goal, set for $1.4 million will add two sub-classes per class. Obsidian plans to push out a new update to the Fig campaign today, so keep an eye out for that.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is an isometric, party-based RPG and is in development for Linux, Mac and PC.
