The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition does sort of feel like it dropped out of nowhere. It was a surprise announcement at E3, of course, but then its actual release seemed to sneak up on us.

It is only a remaster of a game we've all played to death, of course, but that's also part of the surprise: this is a remaster of one of the biggest games ever. It's hard to forget.

The review situation around Skyrim Special Edition has been very well documented now - Bethesda announced that it would only be sending review copies of the game out 24 hours before launch. A lot of people got angry about that as an anti-consumer idea.

Because of that and thanks to the fact that this is admittedly an older game many already know all about there's not a tonne of reviews out there, but they have begun to trickle in over the past week.

If you're starting out with Skyrim Special Edition yourself, be sure to check out our guide pages for the game and our run-down of the best mods available for this new version of the game - now available for the first time on console.

Here are all of the scores that have dropped up so far, via MetaCritic and OpenCritic. We'll add more scores as they appear.

Skyrim: Special Edition is out now for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
