Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade gets PC release date, PS4/Xbox One versions on hold
The ambitious shooter-MMO Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade will finally be released next month.
Namco and Behaviour Interactive have confirmed the release date for Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade, the MMO-shooter hybrid that's been in Steam Early Access for a while. The game will be officially released September 23.
That's just the PC version, though, as the developer has revealed that work on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions has been "paused", to make sure the PC version meets the studio's standards in terms of content and quality. Console players can expect an "optimised and extended experience" when those versions come out.
There is currently no release date or window for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, beyond simply "later".
Eternal Crusade includes four main factions in Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks, and Eldar, as well as 20 different sub-factions. It offers PvE as well as PvP game modes, in addition to various bits of gear and customisation options.
