Battlefield 1 alpha data mining reveals weapons, maps, campaign details, and more
A ton of Battlefield 1 info has leaked during the closed alpha. Expect minor spoilers.
A closed alpha for Battlefield 1 has been taking place for a select and random bunch of jammy buggers.
EA described the alpha as “very exclusive, very small,” and now one of the members of this chosen elite, redditor Lobix300, has data-mined the crap out of it and shared the details on reddit, accompanied by a short message to the devs and publisher that reads, "EA and Dice, I'm sorry <3". This comes shortly after the leaked screenshots we saw last week.
If you want to avoid spoilers, now's the time to stop reading.
The campaign is split over seven episodes, including a prologue and epilogue, and a few of the character names have been revealed - Pritchard, Mcmanus, Finch, Townsend, and Edwards.
There's a huge weapon and gadget list, as well as camos, and 10 multiplayer maps:
- MP_Amiens
- MP_Chateau
- MP_Desert
- MP_FaoFortress
- MP_Forest
- MP_Argonne
- MP_ItalianCoast
- MP_MountainFort
- MP_Scar
- MP_Suez
You can customise the appearance of your soldier, choosing from 11 skins, and when you're ready to go, you can hop into one of the seven game modes that are made up of the usual customers, as well as a couple of new ones, called Breakthrough, and Possession.
Two new horse-related stats have also been spotted - horse wounded, and horse killed.
You can get in on the action by signing up for the open beta this summer once more information is announced.
Battlefield 1 releases worldwide on October 21 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
