An image of the poster was sent to Polygon and was also posted on Twitter by ONE Dead Gamer.
According to a copy of an in-store manager memo, the posters are to be handed out to customers who pre-order the game.
Rumors regarding Injustice 2 surfaced at the end of May, pegging it for a March 2017 release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Recently, NetherRealm Studios boss Ed Boon changed his profile picture to the roman numeral two, and posted a grainy image of a pair of boots which appear to belong to The Flash.
Again, it's grainy, so our eyes could be completely wrong, but as you see in the leaked image on Polygon, The Flash is in the promo poster along with Batman. They could as easily belong to Superman, because they are red, obviously.
Since the leak, Boon has tweeted this interesting nugget:
All signs seem to point to yes, then, and we expect a full announcement at E3 2016 next week either during Sony or Microsoft's press conference. Or both.
The original Injustice: Gods Among Us was released in April, 2013.
