Naughty Dog has hidden two cheeky trophies in Uncharted 4
Naughty Dog has slipped in two very meta trophies in Uncharted 4.
Uncharted 4 has two hidden trophies that'll only make sense to avid followers of the series, and game culture in general. Some non-story spoilers to follow.
If you cast your mind to E3 last year, Naughty Dog took the Sony stage to show off gameplay footage from Uncharted 4. Except the demo started and Nathan just stood there, not moving for what felt like minutes.
The demo got going shortly after, impressing everyone in the process, but not before the cameras showed Bruce Straley's frustration. Naughty Dog wanted to include a trophy in the game so that this moment may live forever. The trophy is called Stage Fright, and you get it by standing still for 30 seconds at the start of the city chase bit.
Uncharted 4 also includes another hidden trophy called Ludonarrative Dissonance, a dig at some of criticisms the series has received over the year.
The name refers the disconnect some players felt in Uncharted's presentation, where in the narrative, Drake is portrayed as the good guy, yet he's slaughtering hundreds in every game to get to his goal. You get it by simply defeating 1000 enemies, which is probably more than what you're going to come across in one playthrough.
Uncharted 4 is out now on PlayStation 4.
