Total War: Warhammer DLC no longer a pre-order only bonus to appease fans

Total War: Warhammer's Chaos Warriors were initially offered as a pre-order incentive, but it quickly became apparent that not a lot of people were happy about it, as demonstrated by the 50,000 dislikes on the announcement trailer.

Following the frosty reception, Creative Assembly has decided to offer the DLC to all players during launch week for free.

"The Chaos Warriors have proven to be hugely popular” said Creative Director, Mike Simpson “and, by extending the deadline for getting them for free by a week, we can ensure loyal fans who don’t feel like pre-ordering don’t miss out, while still rewarding early adopters whose support is really valuable to us.

There will be a number of additional DLC packs, both free and paid, as detailed a couple of weeks ago.

Total War: Warhammer is due for release on PC on May 24. You have until 6pm BST on May 31 to pick up the Chaos Warriors DLC for free.
