TimeSplitters 2's first two levels are playable in Homefront: The Revolution
Who said Easter eggs can't be grand?
When Homefront: The Revolution releases in May, you'll get to witness a pretty substantial Easter egg. Developer Dambuster added the first two levels of TimeSplitters 2 to an arcade cabinet in the game.
These would be Siberia and Chicago, and both are playable. The cabinet can be found in a makeshift prison area in Homefront's open world.
If the inclusion of these levels seems strange, it shouldn't. Dambuster Studios, the makers of the game, is made up of former Crytek UK, which itself used to be known as Free Radical before Crytek bought it.
According to Eurogamer, Crytek still owns the rights to TimeSplitters, so you probably shouldn't get your hopes up for a new TimeSplitters game.
Homefront: The Revolution is out May 17 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
