Titanfall 2 dev team around 30% larger than original
Productions is ramping up on the Titanfall sequel, and so is the headcount.
Titanfall 2 has been confirmed to be in the works several times now. EA is looking to release it before March 2017, and there's at least one source who believes it's coming this year.
Whatever the case may be, one thing is clear, developer Respawn Entertainment is undoubtedly busy working on it. And, now that it has more money to make a bigger game and release it on three platforms, Titanfall 2's team has grown in size as a result.
The studio's HR and recruiting manager Kristin Christopher tells Develop that there are around 90 people working on Titanfall 2, as opposed to 70 for the original.
Respawn is also working on another unannounced project, a third-person action-adventure game lead by God of War 3 director Stig Asmussen. Christopher says that team is still small, so that game is probably a ways off.
Titanfall 2 is in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A proper unveiling is yet to take place, but E3 2016 is a good bet.
