Star Wars: Battlefront's Battle of Jakku DLC contains the 40-player mode Turning Point
Information on the new mode coming with the free Star Wars: Battlefront Battle of Jakku DLC has dropped and it's called Turning Point.
It supports up to 40 players with Rebels tasked with securing three control points. Once accomplished, it will open up further points located within Empire's territory on the map. At the edge of the map, the Empire has constructed a "make-shift base as well as smaller fortifications strewn across the landscape."
These are what the Rebels need to locate within the allotted time. For each control point captured, more time will be added to the clock, each point more challenging than the next.
The ultimate goal is to unlock a final assault on the Empire base.
Over on the Empire side (or the best side imo) players will need to split up to defend the control points and the capture percentage won't reset if Rebels are pushed back.
DICE has posted a new blog on the Turning Point mode, so you should go give a read to become versed in the entire thing. A first look at gameplay from the DLC will be shown on November 30, which a day before pre-order customers are granted early access on December 1.
