Syberia 3 first-look trailer almost convinces us it's really happening
Syberia 3 is a beautiful fever dream we refuse to believe in until it drops into our laps.
Syberia is a classic series of two adventure games from French publisher Microïds, now owned by Anuman. Peruse the first two thirds of the trailer below and you may see why these games have long stood out in our memories - the snowy steampunk setting is unlike anything else.
After a ten year break, original writer and artist Benoît Sokal is back in the saddle for Syberia 3, promising to continue Kate Walker's adventures. Stay tuned through to the very end of this trailer for a look at some lovely concept art, plus a few tantalising snippets of gameplay footage.
First announced in 2009, but then shelved and resurrected in 2012, Syberia 3 had a proper showcase at gamescom this year, giving us hope it might make it over the finish line this time. It's coming to Mac, PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2016, apparently. It has a score by Inon Zur and is the first in the series with full 3D graphics.
