Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain reviews - all the scores
The Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain review embargo is up, and critics have had their say on what may be the biggest Hideo Kojima game yet.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain had a whopping budget and was in the works for so long that Kojima productions released a prologue and tutorial in the form of Ground Zeroes just to stop fans eating their own hands in impatience.
Has it been worth the wait and the expense? You can judge for yourself when it launches next week, but reviews have surfaced nice and early to provide some guidance for your purchasing decision.
One of the key themes of coverage so far is that The Phantom Pain is huge. Several sites posted reviews-in-progress, or just initial impressions with a full assessment to come later, because of how much content there is. Our own thoughts from the time we've had with it are coming soon, because according to our team on the ground "wow, yeah".
Another theme is that the game is excellent. So. All scores out of ten except where otherwise specified. Please do share any others you might see in the comments.
