Well, Sega's making another Sonic Boom game
Sonic Boom is back.
Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice will feature Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks, and introduce new villain D-Fekt alongside the familiar Dr. Eggman. It boasts a new element called "bot racing", whatever that is.
Fire & Ice appears is coming to 3DS courtesy of Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal developer Sanzaru Games. No release date as yet, but check out the trailer below.
I don't know if you remember me saying that we wouldn't see a decent Sonic game at E3 2015, and given how badly both previous Sonic Boom games fared, I'm not confident I'll be proven wrong. We can but hope, right? Surely Sega learned something this time.
There doesn't seem to be word of a Wii U equivalent yet. We may see something at Nintendo's E3 2015 presentations: perhaps a Rise of Lyric sequel from Big Red Button, or the promised non-Boom game in the works at Sonic Team.
