Region locked Nintendo Humble Bundle wasn't the plan

Yesterday we found out that Nintendo of America had teamed up with Humble Bundle for awesome Wii U and 3DS indie game offers. Unfortunately these weren't for everyone thanks to the region lock, but apparently Nintendo didn't want to leave the rest of the world out.
Destructoid picked up on a tweet from Nintendo of America's Damon Baker, who works in marketing, in which he said that they had been trying to make the offer global for a number of months.
He also indicated that they may still be working towards making this happen, so keep your fingers crossed.
The Humble Nindie Bundle includes Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, Mighty Switch Force, and Woah Dave! and you have until 11am PDT on June 9 to grab it.
