Using Battlefield Hardline single-player gadgets increases your metagame rewards

Gadgets contained in Battlefield Hardline's campaign mode have been detailed, and each provides the player with various ways in which to solve crimes.

According to design director Scott Warner, one way to "diffuse" a conflict when confronted with criminal activity is to flash your badge and ordering the criminal to freeze.

Putting your gun on them while doing this, and without drawing the attention of other members of the group, will allow you to successfully arrest the culprit.

Doing so will also enable you to unlock gear faster by avoiding casualties, and this applies to taking a warrant alive. This works even better when you have a partner.

If that doesn't work, you can also use the Stun Gun to deliver 50,000 volts. That should drop them in their tracks, and increase your metagame rewards for keeping the body count low.

The Scanner is also at your disposal, and not only is it handy, but it will also award you more points to spend on gear later in the metagame.

Other than gadgets, various vehicles such as police issued sports cars, military tanks, police issued squad cars and airboats are there for you to use.

You can read up on this more through the Battlefield Hardline website.

Battlefield Hardline releases on March 17 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and we expect a announcement pertaining to the Premium service sometime soon.
