GTA Online servers are down for maintenance

Don't panic. GTA Online servers are currently offline for scheduled maintenance.
Update: The servers are back online. I am currently in my apartment taking a (virtual) hit from the bong.
The work began at 5am GMT and is likely to last around 6 hours, according to Rockstar.
Curiously, the screengrab above mentions being unable to download "files required to play GTA Online". It might mean your cloud save. It might mean something else?
It's not just GTA Online of course, any Rockstar game with online features is affected.
