Here's your first look at Homeworld Remastered

Homeworld Remastered has been the works for some time, but we never really had a look at what the modern HD remaster would look like.

The video below is part of the Gearbox panel held at PAX Australia. Gearbox' Randy Pitchford shows the audience footage from the opening cinematic recreated for the remaster, some screenshots, and talks about how the team is composed of some of the designers who worked on the original.

The screenshots show what looks to be redone models. Pitchford also said that lighting has been improved with added effects found in most modern games like depth of field.

Gearbox is hoping to have Homeworld Remastered released by February 2015.

Homeworld Remastered is a remake of the classic Homeworld space strategy games, which were developed by Relic.
