GTA 5 next-gen out November, PC in 2015: details, screens, video
Rockstar has confirmed the release date for GTA 5 on PS4 and Xbox One will be November 18, but it won't make PC till next year.
GTA 5 will release on PS4 and Xbox One on November 18, Rockstar has confirmed.
The PC version will be released January 27, 2015.
It comes as early impressions of the new game were leaked this morning.
A new trailer has also been released.
The new versions "will feature a range of major visual and technical upgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever," Rockstar said in a statement.
As well as "increased draw distances and higher resolution," players can expect thew following additions:
- New activities.
- New weapons.
- New vehicles.
- Additional wildlife.
- Denser traffic.
- New foliage system.
- Enhanced damage and weather effects.
The next=gen versions will also feature "enhanced radio selections, with over 100 additional new songs and new DJ mixes from returning DJs across the game’s 17 radio stations."
All players who pre-order on PS4, Xbox One or PC will receive $1,000,000 in-game cash to spend across single-player and Grand Theft Auto Online.
In addition, "new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities, including wildlife photography; and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more."
GTA Online is to be upgraded, with an increased player count to 30 on PS4 and Xbox One.
All existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content released since the launch of GTA Online will also be available for the new versions.
You'll be able to transfer your GTA Online characters from PS3 or Xbox 360 "to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC."
