It took this World of Warcraft player 173.5 days to hit level 90 without leaving their neutral zone [Update]
World of Warcaft player Doubleagent has announced he's hit level 100 four months after the launch of Warlords of Draenor.
Doubleagent hit the level as a Pandaren without joining either the Horde nor Alliance all while in the starting zone of the Wandering Isle.
Last June, he announced hitting level 90 after 173.5 days.

Original story
World of Warcraft player Doubleagent is the world's first player to reach level 90 without choosing to side with the Horde or Alliance. It took them 173.5 days.
If this sounds familiar, you might recall the South Park episode 'Make Love, Not Warcraft' in which the boys try to max out their characters without leaving their start zone. Check it out:
As you can see from Doubleagent's World of Warcraft profile, their Pandaren character is level 90.
RPS reports that the player never left the starting neutral zone, choosing to dry up all the XP from surrounding enemies, picking herbs and mining until they levelled up enough. It took 173.5 days, after starting in 2012.
Explaining this repetitive process, Doubleagent said, “At times I can find it relaxing, a change from the normal. Plus it’s pretty easy to do when I have TV shows or movies that I need to catch up on, moreso than trying to do that during a battleground or raid.”
Fair play, and for all of that perseverance, they've just scored a world's first. Kudos.
