SOE All Access: $14.99 monthly nets access to EQ Landmark, other MMO PC titles
Sony Online Entertainment has announced that starting in April, it will offer its MMO PC players a single subscription model which provides access to certain titles for $14.99 per month.
SOE's John Smedley said earlier this month the firm was considering the plan.
Called All Access, the monthly fee provides membership to EverQuest, EverQuest 2, EverQuest Next, and EverQuest Next Landmark. The monthly fee includes premium access to Dragon's Prophet, DC Universe Online, Planetside 2 PC, and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes - until the later sunsets on July 31, 2014. But more on that in another post.
Members will also be provided with 500 Station Cash monthly from within the game marketplaces, a 10% discount on marketplace purchases and access to "exclusive promotions and offers" throughout the year.
All existing individual game memberships will be upgraded to the new All Access plan, which will include the top-tier membership level in all the aforementioned SOE games as well as extra savings for three, six and 12 month plans. Free-to-play remembers will remain F2P.
The firm is also working on finalizing membership benefits to games such as Dragon’s Prophet, and promises more on the new updates will be shared as information is available.
SOE All Access is for PC users only at this time, "due to the difference in platform structure and account management." However, DCUO players on PS3 and PS4 will be able to benefit from 10% off all Marketplace purchases.
"On or about April 2", all players with existing memberships will be automatically upgraded into the new plan.
