Android reaches 1 billion activations
Google's mobile OS Android recently reached 1 billion activations, senior vice president Sundar Pichai announced today on Google Plus. Although that doesn't equate to 1 billion devices in use, it's a significant milestone anyway; 1/7th of the world's population is not to be sneezed at. Google predicted the milestone as early as April. Pichai also announced the next version of the operating system will be called Kit Kat, which is frankly adorable.
