Shadow of the Eternals dev has "not given up", will "pursue other avenues"
Having failed to raise sufficient funds in a second Kickstarter campaign, Precursor Games has not given up on Shadow of the Eternals.
"It is unfortunate that we were unable to crowd-fund this project at this time, but we have not given up," the developer wrote in a Kickstarter update. "We intend to pursue other avenues with the ultimate goal of having our games come to fruition."
Precursor thanked everyone who contributed to the campaign, whether it by pledging or other means, and vowed to keep the fledgling fan community together on tis own forums.
"The Order of the Unseen actively collaborated with us to create Shadow of the Eternals, and unwaveringly campaigned to help bring the game to life. When we began, we never imagined that we would meet so many amazing and creative people. Our community made this venture entirely worth it. Thank you for everything," the developer said.
The Kickstarter campaign clocked out at $323,950, not even half of its $750,000 goal. It was the second Kickstarter for the Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem successor, and switched from an episodic format to a full release.
Thanks, Blue's News.
