Shin Megami Tensei 4 is over 50 hours long
The latest entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series packs a huge amount of content into the 3DS cart.
Atlus revealed new details about Shin Megami Tensei 4 at the Nico Nico conference this week, as translated by Gematsu.
The developer said the core game alone will take over 50 hours to complete, and that premium DLC wil be released later on, extending its lifespan even further.
The game shares no direct story ties to previous games, but Atlus said the music will pay tribute in some way to past entries. On the subject of audio, you'll be able to disable character voices if you like it old school.
There will be no Moon Phase System, but for those that like it difficult, Atlus is considering an extra hard gameplay mode. Interacting with demons through conversation or fusion will net experience points.
Various characters and elements will return, including the Macca Beam, Lucifer, the three Jack Brothers and a new version of Jack Frost. Louis Cyphre has not been confirmed.
Shin Megami Tensei 4 hits Japan in May, and it's headed to North America later in the year, too.
