Square opens 25th anniversary portal site for Final Fantasy
Square Enix has pretty much officially kicked off the 25th anniversary celebrations of Final Fantasy by opening a portal site around the event.
The site contains a discography of all 14 main games from the past 25 years, plus spin-offs and all that. There's another section there for products and goods linked to the series.
Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada, who joined the company in 2000 in the midst of the launch of Final Fantasy IX, said the event would help the company look forward towards the IP's next 25 years.
"We'll take the 25th anniversary as an opportunity to begin our walk towards the next 25 years," said Wada in an open letter on the site.
"In order to make the fans happy, we the developer have just one promise we can make. Outside of talent and ability, we will also make sure development is handled exclusively by creators who feel love of the FF series stronger than anyone else."
Thanks, Andriasang.
